In the chemical new materials sector,specialty cellulose acetate is a key raw material for high-performance fibers and composites.A leading domestic high-tech enterprise is advancing a strategic project—30,000-ton annual industrial production of specialty cellulose acetate.However,slurry transportation posed extreme challenges:strong acidity,ultra-high viscosity,crystal content,and high temperature.Traditional pumps suffered from low efficiency,frequent clogging,rapid corrosion,and failure,threatening production stability.Solving this transportation bottleneck was critical.

Cellulose Acetate Slurry Transportation Challenges

The slurry’s"special formulation"created high difficulty:

1.Strong Acid:~64%acetic acid demanded extreme corrosion resistance.

2.Ultra-High Viscosity:15,000-25,000 CP viscosity caused poor flow and clogging.

3.Complex Composition:Included 2.5%magnesium sulfate salt,risking crystallization/blockage.

4.High Temperature:80°C medium tested material and seal stability.

5.Large Flow Rate:Required continuous 24-28m³/h delivery.

6.High Head:Required 60-meter head.
