A cam rotor pump relies on a pair of synchronously rotating rotors to complete the suction and discharge of fluid through the periodic change of volume between the rotors and between the rotors and the casing.This positive displacement pumping method is naturally suitable for the transfer of high-viscosity and high-solid-content media.A centrifugal pump,on the other hand,uses the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the impeller to throw liquid from the center of the impeller to the edge,and then collects and discharges it through the pump casing.Its working characteristics determine that it performs better in the transfer of low-viscosity clean media.
Comprehensive Comparison of Core Performance
In terms of energy consumption and operating efficiency,the pump efficiency range of cam rotor pumps is 60%~90%,and the overall energy consumption is at a relatively low level.Centrifugal pumps can only achieve high efficiency at the best operating point.Once the outlet pressure increases,the internal backflow intensifies,and the efficiency will drop sharply.

In terms of medium adaptation range,cam rotor pumps have wide flow-through cavities and no narrow flow channels,so there will be no inlet and outlet blockage problems,and they are suitable for transferring fluids containing soft particles,flocs and impurities.Centrifugal pumps are only suitable for clean water or clean media similar to water.When transferring high-viscosity and high-solid-content media,blockage and wear problems occur frequently.
