With its unique structure and excellent performance parameters, the cam rotor pump has shown irreplaceability in multiple scenarios and become a core solution for industrial fluid conveying. Compared with traditional pumps, its comprehensive performance has achieved a comprehensive improvement.

The core performance parameters of cam rotor pumps cover an extremely wide range, adapting to the vast majority of industrial needs. The flow rate range is 0.5~1200m³/h, and the displacement is directly proportional to the rotational speed, so the flow rate can be flexibly controlled by speed regulation. The outlet pressure is usually ≤1.2MPa (about 12bar), which is an important performance boundary and also an application limitation for ultra-high pressure working conditions. Self-priming capability is its outstanding advantage, with vertical self-priming up to 9 meters and horizontal self-priming exceeding 100 meters. It can be started without priming, simplifying the operation process.

In terms of medium adaptability, it can convey various media with viscosity ranging from low-viscosity liquids to 2.5 million centipoises, and the temperature adaptation range is -50℃~350℃. It can be equipped with insulation jackets to meet special temperature requirements. The solid content capacity supports up to 70% slurry, and the wide flow channel makes it not easy to block. The normal working speed is 200~600rpm, and low-speed operation effectively reduces wear and extends equipment life. In terms of volumetric efficiency, ordinary cam pumps are 65%-70%, and elastomer cam pumps can reach 70%-85%, with significant energy-saving effects.

Its core advantages are reflected in four aspects: First, extremely strong self-priming and dry running capability. The nano-composite wear-resistant rubber rotor can withstand long-term idling, and cooperate with anti-air resistance technology to extend the service cycle. Second, gas-liquid-solid three-phase mixed conveying capability, which is suitable for working conditions such as oil-gas mixed transportation and tank unloading and sweeping, can avoid oil-water emulsification and reduce subsequent processing difficulty. Third, low-shear and pulsation-free conveying. The three-lobe rotor with optimized profile causes almost no damage to shear-sensitive materials such as jam, yogurt and liquid medicine. Fourth, high efficiency and energy saving. The vacuum closed cavity formed by low speed improves the conveying efficiency and shortens the contact time between the medium and the pump.

At the same time, cam rotor pumps also have inherent limitations: They are not suitable for stations with outlet pressure exceeding 1.2MPa and sludge conveying with solid content >20%. Under high pressure, the leakage of the seal gap will increase sharply; the initial investment cost is higher than that of centrifugal pumps, screw pumps and other pump types; metal rotors are prone to pump jamming and have weak self-priming capability.
